Bella Vita Jewelry

Many women complete an outfit with stunning shoes, some with the right color belt or scarf, and some with fabulous jewelry. The same is true for brides when finding the finishing touches for her wedding day attire.

Brandy Thomason, of Bella Vita Jewelry, designs one-of-a-kind jewelry. She has a great eye for beauty and originality. Let me just give you a little teaser of her pieces...
That last necklace was my most recent purchase! I just needed to show it off!
Brandy often travels to show her jewelry, teach jewelry making classes, or to even do home shows.
Recently, I asked Brandy if she could create a piece for a friend that was getting married. A couple of friends and I wanted to give the somethings: new, blue, old, and borrowed.  We decided on a hair clip which was beautiful! Brandy had made two for me to choose from...

It was a tough choice! However, we decided the top clip was the winner!

Brandy's website has her latest creations and are available for purchase. Head on over a check out all of her fun work! Bella Vita

The Ellington's Wedding

A new post is definitely long over due. This week is finally allowing me to breath a little and catch up on a few things. So without further to do...

Lucas and Chelsea Ellington's Wedding!

The beautiful couple were married May 1, 2010. They were married in Springfield, MO at Glendale Christian Church.

Chelsea is known for her love of PINK, so her colors were exactly that...PINK and SILVER. I must say, she was a gorgeous bride! She was very Hollywood Glam, and Lucas was very Rock Star...they pull off the look really well!

Chelsea's mom created the entire look of the wedding, and the amount of work she poured into Lucas and Chelsea's day was amazing. From the centerpieces to the bouquets, no detail was left undone. If I were forced to pick my favorite details of the wedding decor, it was walking into the reception hall and seeing the finished product. 425 Downtown is just a blank room and it was turned into a glamorous space!!

Instead of planning this wedding, I had the privilege to be in the wedding. We all had such a great time getting ready, witnessing Lucas and Chelsea's special day, and dancing all night long!! We made great memories celebrating the two of them with all of their family and friends. Thank you to Chelsea and Lucas for including me in your gorgeous day!

Treats for Your Toesies

A Girl and Her Shoes. Numero uno obsession of mine...shoes! Love them! Heels, flats, sandals, boots....you name it...I love 'em.  Speaking of love, the shoes below...drooling! If I could get my hands, or rather...feet on those, I'd sleep in them!

This isn't about my love of shoes, promise! Its about finding the right shoes for the "one" dress! Personally, shoes complete an outfit, so my same theory would apply to a wedding dress too. I love seeing different wedding styles, and that the shoes fit those styles. For example, with the upcoming nupitals of a dear friend, I can see (we'll call him..) Rockin' Groom and the groomsmen wearing Chuck Taylors (that is if the Beautiful Bride allows) because its so him.

Piperlime has a fun selection of wedding shoes. My favorites...1, 2, and 3Another company that I've come to adore - and will most certainly make a purchase in the next couple of weeks - Sseko Designs. A company designed in helping Uganda women earn money towards university tuition, while making adorable sandals. And yes, the company can design sandals for you and your bridesmaids! Makes for great bridesmaids' gifts too! Of course, there are so many options and places to shop for shoes. What are you favorite styles, brands, etc?

So the fantabulous heels I was drooling over earlier...after further investigation, I found more pictures of the shoes. The bride is the co-founders of this shoe company, Omelle. Check out more of their gorgeous designs!

Lots of Corks!

I promise I didn't drink bottles and bottles wine to get all these corks! Just a collection that will be used for different creative projects. Part of my planning service includes a design element. Working with clients to create his or her vision is a top priority for me.

I have a love for all things wine - vineyards (specifically Tuscan vineyards), red wines, beautiful wine glasses, etc. There is just something romantic and rich, yet rustic about it all! Mmm...Love. In fact, take a glance at these....

Tonight, I decided to play around with a couple of ideas and thought I'd share one, little, simple idea. Looking at pictures from Italy helped the with inspiration. All it took was a cork, twine...

...scissors, and a skill I picked up from a job from when I was a teenager.

And the end result, napkin rings!

You have a vision or a dream event to plan; I can help you create it!

Bright Winter Love

When I get married, I’d like to have 4 ceremonies (just to clarify: all to the same man) : one in winter, spring, summer, and fall. I can do that, right? There are so many options, colors, styles, themes that I love, love, love!! I don’t know how I would ever choose!?!

Style Me Pretty featured a photo shoot this morning that totally tickled my winter fancy! And a dress to absolutely die for!! I adore the bright, typically summery colors added to the wintery mix. Makes me feel all warm and cozy!

Check out StyleMePretty for the rest of this scrumptous shoot!

New Service to Offer!

Being a new member to the Association of Bridal Consultants (ABC), I’m trying to take advantage of all the learning tools offered to me. Last night, I listened, with other planners from around the country; to the president of ABC discuss a new division of the association that will allow coordinators to better service our clients!

As a coordinator, my purpose to take on the many details and relieve the stress of worrying about those details, so the bridal couple can just worry about enjoying their engagement period! Trying to figure out where those out-of-town guests are going to stay without breaking the bank? Leave it to me… I will research accommodations, handle the negotiation of rates and reserving a block of rooms with the best place, and pass the information on to the couple and their guests.

Easy as pie!

My First!

Coming up with a witty opener is proving more difficult than I thought, so I'll just jump right in!

My name is Alicia, and I'm an aspiring event designer/coordinator. I've created this blog because I have discovered what an incredible resource wedding and design blogs are! I'm addicted to all the goodness the different blogs offer! Through my blog, I hope to share inspirations, lovely goodies discovered, and eventually...my real life work experience as a coordinator. I'm excited to say, I do have a couple of things I'm cookin' up!

Tomorrow, I'll be back to share some great information I learned tonight. Until then, I will leave you with a whimsical, lovey-dovey inspiration board from Snippet&Ink. I must add, my new found obsession for finding a yummy macaroon recipe and indulging. I've recently had a peculiar fascination with macaroons. Enjoy!
